  • Replaced commercial carpet in auditorium; added carpet to backstage
  • Cleaned ceramic tile in hallway and stairway

Lighting:

  • Mounted ten decorative parabolic wall sconces
  • Replaced bulbs of ceiling fixtures
  • Added low-voltage hanging downlights on aisle seats

Sound:

  • Installed JBL cinema sound systems featuring:
    • Two speakers facing seats
    • Center speaker and two subwoofer speakers behind projection screen
    • Six speakers on walls for surround sound
  • Mounted fabric acoustic panels on back wall

Screen:

  • Put in DA-Lite perforated projection screen

Seats:

  • Installed 221 seats with red ribbed fabric
  • Added cup holders

Entry and stage railings:

  • Refinished brass

Doors and walls:

  • Repainted originals

Projector room:

  • Set up 35mm projector
  • Installed water-plate clear glass to avoid projection distortion

Background:

  • The Nemours Building was built in 1935 as a 14-floor office complex for the DuPont Company.
  • DuPont sold the building to the Buccini/Pollin Group (BPGroup) in 1998.
  • Along with Theatre N, the Nemours Building also houses the residences at city center, which features 85 upscale, fully furnished apartments, conference and meeting facilities, a fitness area, and an entertainment room.
